A: No. SHMAG LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries, but rather for energy storage. Please do not use them to start any equipment. We also sell starting batteries, if you need them, please contact customer service for the purchase address.

A: Yes. You can use solar panels to charge SHMAG LiFePO4 lithium batteries. You should size your charge controller based on the voltage and current output of your solar array setup. This will ensure that your charge controller will be able to handle and regulate the power from the solar panels. Using a 24V MAX, 22A output solar system as an example, you would need a solar charge controller that can handle 24V and 27.5A (125% of maximum current output).

A: SHMAG LiFePO4 batteries can be safely charged between 0°C ~ 50°C. However, when charging below freezing, the battery cells may be damaged.

A: It is recommended that the state of charge (SOC) of SHMAG LiFePO4 lithium batteries be maintained at approximately 50%. If the battery needs to be stored for a long period of time, please cycle the battery at least once every 6 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~40℃, 45%RH~75%RH.
